FMCSA-APPROVED CDL ENTRY LEVEL DRIVER TRAINING (ELDT)

Those who obtain a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) on or after February 7, 2022, are required to complete this training before being eligible to take their CDL skills or knowledge test. Upon finishing the course, the results are promptly submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. CDL testing centers will verify the completion of the mandatory ELDT theory training by accessing these results from the FMCSA Training Provider Registry before conducting any testing services.
